Not a physical button, but a touchable button. And y'know what - that's not the kind of button you want for a bedside table. In the dark, you can't find the button!For the bedside, you want something you can switch on without even looking at it. Then just touch it more if you want more light. Perfect. I like the light this filament LED generates; with the shade, it's a nicely warm color, a nighttime color. And the whole thing doesn't take up too much space on the table, which is what you want if you have devices to charge next to it.I wanted small lamps for the bedside end tables in our guest room, and found this set with ISB phone chargers and touch control features. These were smaller than expected, and the lampshade fittings are I’ll-fitted and wobbly. The shades are cheap-looking flocked fabric over paper. Meh…I ordered one for my daughter's bedroom, I loved it so much I got two for myself!Ordered this to replace a bulky bedside lamp. It's just as advertised. You can adjust the brightness with just a touch, and the USB charging ports and power plug are very handy.Great for a end table for 3 levels of brightness with nice included vintage bulb. Acts as an extension cord. 2x USB charging ports, touch sensitive.Perfect bedside lamp, could be a couple dollars cheaper but I’m satisfied. I’m going to order another one for the other side of my bed now.I bought this for my husband's side of the bed. It's great to just touch the base to turn on the light in the middle of the night. He uses the plug for his phone charger, so that is also very convenient. I don't know that you could read a book for very long with this light, because it is not glaringly bright. It's a soft light that is perfect for a resting atmosphere, and won't startle you if you need to turn it on in the middle of the night.
