I am very disappointed in this table. While very cute and a nice midcentury style, it is not real wood. It is covered in some sort of plastic laminate. In my case, it started to bubble up in multiple places after being out of the box for a week or so. There were strips of air-filled bubbles at the curves near the top. I had assumed that the description of "natural burl wood" indicated that the product was made out of wood. I returned it.
