The nightstand is really sturdy and really good quality for the money. They look really nice and we love them. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is because we received only 1 instead of 2. I contacted Amazon and they are sending us the missing one but we have to wait another week or so to get it.When I purchased this to match my dresser and my headboard, got most of the way through the assembly, and the predrilled slots on the drawers would not line up in order for the drawer support to slide in correctly, hence the 4 stars. However, Prepac was super easy to deal with, they have an order form online to order replacement parts, which all part numbers are provided in the instruction manual. They even contacted me for pictures to see and confirm what the issue was to ensure they were sending me the correct parts. The shipping only took 3 days, minus the weekend, and I was able to complete the assembly process. Had it not been for that, it would have been 5 stars.Assembly just takes patience and someone who actually reads instructions. Overall the quality is good, but the drawers aren't exact. I built 2 night stands and a dresser and all of them have at least one drawer that is just a little off. (Yes i double checked the tracks). That being said if each piece was just a bit cheaper then this would be easy to over look.Took weeks to get ahold of them, but we finally received the necessary parts.I’m not good at assembling furniture but I was able to do this by myself with no issue! The product feels a bit cheaply made, but it was the right price for my budget so it’s okay! The surface can bubble if it gets wet, so I just use coasters to avoid setting drinks directly on it. Overall though, it’s a decent quality, and the color is so pretty! This nightstand is perfect for what I need it for. Really great product! Would buy again.Very well packed and the directions were very easy to follow. Overall it looks really nice. Only thing I did not like was the fact that the backing was not black which made it look like a very cheap piece of furniture when you looked at from the side. I used a black Sharpie to fix that problem. Not difficult to assemble. For knock down furniture they work ok. To bad real wood is so expensive.Great product, wretched instructions. I nearly threw this entire thing out the window multiple times as I tried to construct it. Would it kill Prepac to number their items? Seriously! Or have a few words to go along with the diagrams??? I would give this a 5/5 if not for the needless frustration this caused me during construction. Maybe this was easy for others, but for me it was one of the worst-described manuals I've come across, and I've assembled many desks, bookcases over the years.Bought two of these. The first one had no damage, took about an hour and a quarter to assemble, and the only issue was several missing nails for the back. Weird considering there were a few extra of a type of screw. The second has some minor damage on the top edge (see image) that I can easily touch up with paint. The second took about 50 min to assemble and one of the handles could not be tightened far enough to prevent it from turning. Good thing my partner had tools to shave down the screw to adequately tighten. The second box also lacked a few nails. Also note that although the instructions say the nails are 3/4 inch, they are most definitely 1 inch nails - didn't realize my error until I had bought 3/4 inch nails to finish the project but the shorter ones worked just fine anyways. The instructions were fine for me. It takes some extra attention to orientation of different parts but overall it was clear how to set these up. You get what you pay for and I am satisfied with what I got despite the little issues.I have assembled a ton of these types of furniture over the last 3 decades. I discovered right off the bat that the materials used ( partical board) is not as strong as let say IKEA furniture. ( IKEA didn't carry the size I needed but I found one on Amazon)First piece that I went to assemble I went to insert a dowel. I use a small hammer to lightly seat the dowel in it's place. The dowel easily went right through out the finished side leaving a hole. If you are familiar with partical board then you'll know the mess this would cause. I out weight sending it back or attempting a repair. I chose to repair it. The repair worked but you can still see the damaged site but at least the hole is gone. The unit will serve it's purpose while I find another side table to purchase. This was my experience. One thing. The furniture , once assembled, looks good and is functional. This thing is very big. If you're looking for bedside storage space, that's a good choice. It also looks really good in my room. I'm very satisfied with it.Just one downside: The construction is just a bit flimsy. Most of the pieces hold together with plastic and wooden fasteners that don't screw, and I've had to add glue in one of the holes because I felt the plastic fasteners weren't locked in firmly. It feels pretty solid when all the pieces are put together, but I would avoid pulling it up by the top board when moving it.I have assembled more than a few KD products and have to say this was one of the best. There are a lot of parts to this item. I recommend sorting all ther pieces, especially the hardware. Review the instructions and become familiar with the parts. Once I had done all of the above I proceeded stepby step, being careful to not tighten screws to much.Everything went together nicely. Once assembled the unit is sturdy and looks amazing.
